Diamond Waste Emergency Response
Dumpsters Salvage Rush Hour
Friday afternoon, May 21, a flatbed tractor trailer hauling bales of cardboard overturned and caught fire on I-97 near Glen Burnie. Flames quickly engulfed the cardboard load and spread to nearby brush. The truck was headed Northbound near Route 648 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. Police closed the highway for several hours causing a massive traffic jam. The driver of the truck was not injured and no other injuries were reported.
Diamond Waste responded immediately to provide emergency dumpster service for the accident clean-up. Five cans total were filled with charred cardboard bales and hauled away. Diamonds fast response helped clear the road and get traffic moving again.
While most waste removal calls are not quite as urgent, Diamond is able to respond quickly, giving new meaning to our promise of "prompt, dependable service."
